It is common that unlike other interviews, executive interviews be held over a lunch or dinner in a fairly informal environment.

  • Keep extra copies of your resume with you. You may be asked to hand out a copy of resume to each of the interviewers for their reference.
  • Make a thorough research of the company’s features, standards, past performance and current news to get ready for a discussion about you knowledge about the company.
  • Try to come up with a list of the things that will be expected of you and also what you expect of the company. It is recommended that you be able to effectively articulate your expectations and also voice your concerns to avoid any misunderstandings from either side.
  • Have the reasons as to why you resigned from the previous company, your current salary and expected pay package.
  • Since employers will verify your statements, lying will only destroy your image and deny you the job. Don’t tell any bent truths or outright lies

  • Always thank the panel for their time and consideration at the end of the interview and also mention your interest and how you can be an asset to the company.
  • Finally, remember to send a thank you note to each of the interviewers. In it, give a mention of the key sections of the interview that your qualities will address if selected for that post.
